I genuinely believe 'Satyamev Jayte' is the best show India has ever produced. Aamir
has raised vast range of social issues from honour killing to criminalization
of politics. Aamir is known for his social activities. It's a distinct quality
of Aamir among all B-town celebs. Whenever any NGO asks Aamir for any noble
cause, Aamir leads from the front. NARMADA BACHAO ANDOLAN is
the most popular (Read: Controversial) 'andolan' in Aamir's social life.
Narmada bachao andolan was initiated by social activist and environmentalist Megha
Patkar. Later booker prize winner Arundhati Roy and Aamir Khan
jumped into an issue. They were against increasing height of the Sardar Sarovar
dam which was proposed by Gujarat government. The court initially ruled the decision
in the Andolan's favor, thereby effecting an immediate stoppage of work at the
dam and directing the concerned states(Gujarat & MP) to first complete the
rehabilitation and replacement process. But Gujarat Government wasn't happy at
all by the decision. Gujarat went in supreme but Supreme Court
announced 'stay' and Gujarat suffered tremendous economical loss. Also the
UPA govt. coloured it 'political'! UPA govt took complete advantage of that
'stay' to stop the 'Vikas Rath' (Development model) of Gujarat. Actually Gujarat
was needed his own govt in Delhi to overcome this issue.
After getting magical
272+, the issue is automatically solved. PM Narendra Modi presented most
awaited gift to Gujarat in just 26 days. The protesters' logic was 'Pseudo
Scientific'! The 'andolan' has caused huge economical loss to Gujarat in
terms of power generation as well as in agricultural fields. Few regions of
Kutch district (e.g, Abdasa taluko) are the worst case of this andolan. I have
seen the condition of pets in Abdasa with my naked eyes in this year. I was
shocked! The so called 'andolankaris'(activists) are completely responsible for
that. People of Abdasa could not get the advantage of 'Narmada River’ due to
political constraints. Anyway! This is the past. Now people are hoping for
'ache din'!
Now come to the point. I
remind entire story as yesterday Aamir Khan met Narendra Modi in PMO.
After meeting the PM, he
twitted: ' I have just come out of my meeting with Hon. prime minister of
India Shree Narendra Modiji. It was very kind of him to spare his valuable time.
I have shared with him overwhelming support that we got from people across the
country through the vote for change campaigning on the various issues that we
tackled in our show. He has assured me that he will look into all the matters.'
No surprises! B-town
celebs often meet NAMO. But Aamir is a special case. He was not in NAMO's good
book unlike most of the celebrities of Bollywood. In 2006, Gujarat government
banned Aamir Khan's 'FANAA' in Gujarat. But Amir sticked to
his point and didn't apologize. But this is past. Now Aamir is in 'forgetting
mood' and NAMO is in 'forgiving' mood. Aamir realized that public has given the
clear verdict, so he has to respect them.

ko bhulane me hi bhalai hai.Amir khan ko akshar thode arrogant ya ego wale mane
jate hai. Par yeh Aamir ki taraf se achi pahal hai. Yaha baat sahi ya galat ki
nahi hai… baat aage badhne ki hai. Aamir Khan apnea atit ko bhulkar aage badhna
chahte hai. Aamir Khan ne Satyamev Jayte jaise show k jariye ek umda kam kar
rahe hai.Desh ki seva ki hai. Aamir Khan ne PM ko Satyamev Jayte ki kuch CDs
bhi gift ki hai. PM ne show me uthaye gaye muddo par kam karne ka aaswasan diya
hai. Ummid karte hai jald hi ache din aaenge. Par isse jyada prathmikta ‘Bure
Din’ dur karne ki deni chahie. UP or Delhi aaye din gang rap jaisi vaardat
samne aati hai. Yeh haivaniyat aur darindagi k khilaf Sarkar aur hum ek zut
hokar ladna hai. And thanks to Satyamev Jayte……!

‘Fanna’ in January 2006 due to controversy with Aamir Khan and at the same time
